Kaaren’s Portfolio –

Kaaren’s an extremely well-rounded artist. She graduated from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in 2006 with a BFA in Art with an emphasis in computer imaging and advertisement. To further expand her knowledge in design and visual arts, she also obtained certifications in drafting and blue printing. This combination of qualifications, combined with her impressive background in art, make her a perfect candidate for any job in the field of design or visual arts.

Kaaren is an incredibly talented artist who excels in a variety of mediums. Her skills in oil painting, pencil sketching, watercolor painting, and mixed media art are all outstanding. Additionally, Kaaren has a natural ability to use the elements of art to create compelling pieces of art. Native American Loom Bead work was taught to her by her mother-in-law. She soon became a speed beader and making complex designs and her own leather backed cuff bracelet jewelry

This Lakota Star Cuff Bracelet was entered in the Texas State Fair. It won 4rd Place, which there was stiff competition.

In about 2016 Kaaren was ready for something new and beautiful to enter her life. She found a fascination in gemology and their ways of healing energies to help others. She then started her own line of gemstone jewelry.

She started to learn wire wrapping as her next area of jewelry artistry and loved making tree of life pendants in many different gemstones.

In 2021 Kaaren re-branded herself into the brand you see now Kaaren’s Aartopia. She managed to get a tabletop embroidering machine, and she inherited her grandmothers Janome sewing machine.

Kaaren drafted her own dice bag pattern after learning to sew again after having a stroke that caused her to lose motor function in her dominant hand. After overcoming some obstacles with rehabilitation, Kaaren can do all her art again but right handed instead of left! She started doing custom embroidery designs and started building her empire. She now makes embroidered dice bags, blessing bags, animal shaped dice bags and other tabletop accessories.
